Project structure

The project is organised into five Work Packages, corresponding to the major functional and technical areas addressed by the project:

  • WP1: Project Management
  • WP2: Big Data Efficiency in Smart Networks
  • WP3: Contactless Human Computer Interaction
  • WP4: Networking Aspects of Human-Centric Communication
  • WP5: Dissemination and Outreach

WP1: Project Management (WP leader: Maja Matijašević)

The objectives of WP1 are overall coordination of the project, monitoring of the progress, and reporting to the Croatian Science Foundation, and presentation of the project to the public.

WP2: Big Data Efficiency in Smart Networks (WP leader: Mario Kušek)

The overall research objective of this WP is to devise highly scalable, elastic and autonomous data management for real-time processing and analytics of Big Data produced within the context of the Internet of Things services, and achieve energy-efficient ad-hoc network self-organization in selected Machine-to-Machine and Internet connected objects service scenarios.

WP3: Contactless Human Computer Interaction (WP leader: Željka Car)

The overall research objective of this WP is to analyse the potential for implementation of contactless user interfaces in innovative ICT applications and services. Special research focus will be on ICT applications and services for alternative and augmentative communication.

WP4: Networking Aspects of Human-Centric Communication (WP leader: Ognjen Dobrijević)

The overall research objective of this WP is to gain deep understanding of networking aspects of human-perceived service quality, with particular focus on fairness and network management. Networked games are of particular interest from the point of view of complex data traffic patterns resulting from human behaviour.

WP5: Dissemination and Outreach (WP Leader: Igor Pandžić)

This WP is devoted to activities related to the dissemination, standardisation and exploitation of the concepts and technology developed in the project. This WP is a transversal package that will receive feedback from WP2-WP4 in order to achieve their goals, and will also include and coordinate research visits and the final workshop.
